Texas Holdem poker is the most frequently played version of poker, players try to make the best hand (hand ranking) and win the pot. Five community cards are dealt on the table in three rounds. First round: three cards – the flop. Second round: one more card – the turn. Third round: the last card – the river. Each player is dealt two pocket cards at the start of each game and tries either to make the best poker hand (5 cards) out of the 5 community cards and his 2 pocket cards, or persuade his opponents that he has it. The player with the best poker hand at the showdown (when pocket cards are revealed) wins the pot.
